RWJ Barnabas Health, Inc. has filed a lawsuit against NJMHMC, LLC and other associated entities in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. The case accuses Hudson Regional Hospital (HRH) and its affiliates of conspiring to unlawfully seize control of CarePoint Health System’s assets, specifically targeting Bayonne Medical Center. RWJ Barnabas alleges that HRH conspired with CarePoint’s landlord, Avery Eisenreich, and others to drive CarePoint into bankruptcy and acquire its operating assets at a reduced cost. The complaint details how HRH allegedly manipulated legal processes to monopolize emergency services in Bayonne, New Jersey, at the expense of competition and community welfare. RWJ Barnabas seeks judicial intervention to halt these practices and restore fair competition.
