A dispute over unpaid invoices for event production services has led to a lawsuit between two companies involved in organizing and broadcasting mixed martial arts events. The complaint was filed by Rush Media Company, LLC in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey on April 23, 2026, naming Cage Fury MMA, LLC as the defendant.
According to the court filing, Rush Media alleges that it entered into an agreement with Cage Fury in early 2025 to provide event production goods and services for several live mixed martial arts events organized by Cage Fury. These events were streamed on platforms including OnlyFans and UFC Fight Pass. The plaintiff states that the agreement covered goods and services such as audio equipment, video equipment, and operator services for seven specific MMA events held between July and October 2025.
The complaint details that Rush Media performed all requested work at these events: CFFC-Fury MMA 143 in Tampa, Florida (July 18, 2025), CFFC-Fury Grappling 14 in Atlantic City, New Jersey (July 25, 2025), CFFC Fury Next Gen I in Atlantic City (July 26, 2025), CFFC-Fury MMA 145 in Atlantic City (August 30, 2025), CFFC-Fury BJJ in Philadelphia (September 20, 2025), CFFC-Fury MMA 146 in New Town, North Dakota (September 26, 2025), and CFFC-Fury MMA 147 in Tampa (October 10, 2025). Rush Media claims it provided all goods and services as agreed upon for each event.
The filing reports that after these events took place, Cage Fury took possession of the recordings and broadcast them on its YouTube channel with over 18,500 subscribers and Instagram page with more than 50,300 followers. Additionally, recordings were made available to UFC Fight Pass subscribers. Despite this use of content produced by Rush Media’s services, the plaintiff asserts that Cage Fury failed to pay any portion of the invoiced amount totaling $176,951.99.
Rush Media states it repeatedly sent copies of relevant email exchanges and invoices to Cage Fury but received no payment. On March 20, 2026, a formal demand was sent for payment; however, according to the complaint, Cage Fury did not respond with payment. The plaintiff claims it paid its own employees and contractors who worked on these events “in an effort to shield them from the wrongdoing of Cage Fury.” As a result of these actions by Cage Fury—described as a “complete disregard” of obligations—Rush Media says it sustained damages.
The legal basis for Rush Media’s claim is breach of contract. The company asserts that their agreement is valid under New Jersey law and that all contracted services were delivered as required. The complaint states: “Cage Fury breached the contract by failing to pay Rush Media the amount due…for the services it provided.” Alternatively or additionally under quantum meruit principles—where one party is entitled to compensation for valuable services rendered at another’s request—Rush Media argues it should be paid because its work was accepted and used by Cage Fury.
Damages sought are itemized by event: $33,827.44 for CFFC-Fury MMA 143; $14,491.75 for CFFC-Fury Grappling 14; $12,407.25 for CFFC-Fury Next Gen I; $16,096.02 for CFFC-Fury MMA 145; $13,789.96 for CFFC-Fury BJJ; $50,233.65 for CFFC-Fury MMA 146; and $36,105.92 for CFFC-Fury MMA 147—a total matching the previously stated sum owed.
In addition to direct damages related to each event’s production costs and materials provided by Rush Media at Cage Fury’s request—and which were used during broadcasts—the plaintiff also seeks reasonable attorneys’ fees, court costs associated with bringing suit against Cage Fury MMA LLC., pre-judgment and post-judgment interest at legal or contractual rates allowed by law,”and all other relief” deemed appropriate by the court.
Attorneys representing Rush Media Company are Owen R. Wolfe from Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s New York office; Jesse M. Coleman from Houston; and Benjamin Rosichan from Atlanta—all listed as counsel on the April filing dated April 23rd under Civil Action No.:1:26-cv-04345.
