The New Jersey State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division announced on May 5 that it is seeking volunteers from the legal community to participate in its upcoming Wills for Warriors event on May 9. The program will offer free estate planning services to veterans and first responders.

The initiative aims to provide essential legal support to those who have served the community and country. By offering these services at no cost, the organization hopes to address important needs among veterans and first responders who may not otherwise have access to such assistance.

According to the announcement, attorneys interested in volunteering are required to complete training if they are participating for the first time. Registration information is available through the organization.

Wills for Warriors events typically rely on volunteer attorneys who draft wills and related documents as a way of giving back. The New Jersey State Bar Association encourages eligible members of the legal profession to join this effort and help make a difference in their communities.

The association said that providing these pro bono services helps ensure that veterans and first responders can plan for their futures with greater security.
