Internet gaming also saw gains, with internet gaming win totaling $272.1 million for March—an increase of 11.6% over last year’s figure of $243.9 million for the same month. Year-to-date internet gaming win was reported at $782.8 million through March, reflecting a growth rate of 16.3% compared to $673.3 million during the prior period.
Sports wagering gross revenue amounted to $87.6 million in March, representing a jump of 22.8% from $71.3 million one year earlier; cumulative sports wagering gross revenue reached $268.4 million so far this year—a slight increase over last year’s comparable figure.
Total gaming revenue—which includes casinos, racetracks and their partners—was reported at $596.4 million for March (up by 9.2%) and reached a total of $1.70 billion through March (a rise of 7.5%). Gross revenue taxes collected were noted as being $84.7 million for the month and totaling $246.1 million so far this year.
