The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced on Apr. 8 that casino licensees reported $784.6 million in net revenue for the fourth quarter of 2025, a 2 percent increase compared to the same period last year. However, gross operating profit for the quarter fell by 5.8 percent to $124.7 million.
These figures provide insight into the performance of Atlantic City’s casino industry and its impact on the state’s economy. The annual net revenue for calendar year 2025 reached $3.29 billion, marking a slight decrease of 0.5 percent from the previous year, while gross operating profit dropped by 3.9 percent to $681.6 million.
The Division noted that important details regarding how net revenue and gross operating profit are recognized—especially in relation to internet gaming and sports wagering—are included in the footnotes of its Quarterly Financial Report, stating that valid comparisons require consideration of this information.
Hotel occupancy at casino hotels was also reported as part of these results, with an occupancy rate of 64.9 percent for the fourth quarter ending December 31, representing a decline of 0.7 percentage points from last year’s comparable period. For all of calendar year 2025, hotel occupancy stood at 71.2 percent, down by 0.8 percentage points from calendar year 2024.
