Minoan Experience, Inc., a Delaware corporation, has filed a lawsuit against HostGPO Solutions, Inc. in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. The case, filed on October 22, 2025, alleges that HostGPO engaged in antitrust and cybersquatting activities to suppress competition in the market for vacation rental furnishings. Minoan accuses HostGPO of entering into anti-competitive contracts with suppliers and illegally registering the domain name Minoan.ca to impede Minoan’s business operations. The complaint seeks damages and injunctive relief under the Sherman Act and Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.
HostGPO is accused of using its dominant market position to enforce exclusive dealing agreements that prevent suppliers from working with competitors like Minoan. These agreements allegedly include post-termination non-compete clauses and price restraints that limit competition. Furthermore, Minoan claims that HostGPO registered the domain name Minoan.ca in bad faith to profit from Minoan’s trademark.
The plaintiff seeks monetary damages, including treble damages under the Clayton Act, as well as an injunction to stop HostGPO’s alleged illegal conduct.
