In a recent court case, Jason Wright, along with Kareem Jeffress, Andrea Brooks, and Melissa Chouloutte, filed a class action lawsuit against Fenix Towing LLC and its owner Jonnathan G. Reiban. The plaintiffs accused the defendants of common law fraud, unjust enrichment, and violations of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (CFA). Wright specifically sought compensation for being underpaid for a vehicle he sold to Fenix Towing. Although the court awarded him $350 in damages based on unjust enrichment claims, it dismissed his CFA claim due to insufficient evidence. The appellate court has now remanded the case for further factual findings regarding the CFA claim and potential personal liability of Reiban.

The court initially found Wright credible but did not find sufficient evidence to support his CFA claim due to lack of documentation from Fenix Towing and unclear testimony regarding communications with Reiban. The appellate court disagreed with this assessment and called for a new proof hearing to reassess these claims under a different judge.
